Pineapple Jalapeño Agua Fresca (Printable)

Sweet pineapple, lime and jalapeño blended with water and agave for a cool, zesty summer drink.

# What You Need:

→ Fruit & Vegetables

01 - 4 cups fresh pineapple, peeled and cubed
02 - 1 medium jalapeño, stem removed, seeded if milder heat is desired, finely chopped
03 - 1 lime, juiced

→ Liquids & Sweeteners

04 - 3 cups cold water
05 - 2 tablespoons agave nectar or granulated sugar, adjust to taste
06 - Ice cubes, for serving

# Directions:

01 - Trim and peel the pineapple, then cut into uniform cubes. Remove the stem from the jalapeño; seed it if you prefer less heat and finely chop. Juice the lime and set aside.
02 - Place pineapple, chopped jalapeño, lime juice, agave or sugar, and cold water in a blender. Blend on high until completely smooth and homogenous.
03 - Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness or heat: add additional agave or sugar for sweetness or more jalapeño for intensity. Pulse briefly to integrate any additions.
04 - For a smoother mouthfeel, pour the blended liquid through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher, using the back of a spoon to press through the juice and discard the solids.
05 - Fill glasses with ice, divide the agua fresca among them, garnish with a pineapple wedge or a jalapeño slice as desired, and serve immediately.
